Chantal RouxelI was born in 1961 in Brittany.
In the 80's, I studied two years in Brest Fine Art school then a year in the Academy of Art in Tréguier.
I went to Paris to work in textile studios and worked in connection with public relations, tourism and English.
I lived for three years in the Pacific, in Tahiti. I created designs for tee-shirts.
Upon returning to France, I created in free-lance designs for textile.
In 1991, I found a job in a studio near Lyon for luxury embroideries for ready-to-wear clothes and underwear.
After a redundancy, I went back to the University and studied English for three years.
Then motherhood and family life were prevailing for years.
In addition I gave Art lessons to children and wood painting lessons to adults.
I gave private English private lessons to children and teenagers and looked after children after school.
I read a lot and travelled in France and Europe by camper.
Throughout my life I have always had a strong interest in the worlds of Art in all its forms, including poetry, literature, theatre, cinema, astrology…
I had things to do, in the construction, my child was my first creation and now I have things to say.
Since 2009, I spent much time painting and I have finished several series of acrylic paintings.

In January 2012, I won the Public price at the 34rd Painting Exhibition in Brignais.
